G. W. MOSCHEL
G. William Moschel, a son of Lewis and Jacobina (Hussong) Moschel, both of whom were natives of Germany, was born at Morton, Ill., in 1872. Here he acquired his early education in the public schools, which he supplemented with a course at the Northwestern University, at Chicago, where he was graduated in the class of 1894. After receiving his degree he went to Peoria, where he accepted a position as clerk in a a drug store, retaining that place for one year. He then removed to Morton and purchased Dr. Schafer’s drug business, which he has since most successfully continued, combining therewith a line of high-class jewelry.
Politically, Mr. Moschel has always supported the Democratic party. He is a member of the Masonic fraternity and of the Knights Templar.
In 1896 Mr. Moschel was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle White, at Allentown, which is the birthplace of Mrs. Moschel. Of this union two children have been born, Reid and Olga. Mr. Moschel is one of the enterprising and successful business men of Morton.
