Death of Mrs. Young
Mrs. John S Young, living five miles southwest of Tremont, died Friday evening as a result of old age. Mrs. John S Young was born in Ohio, January 14, 1818, and came to this state in 1820. On February 7, 1839, she was married to John S Young. To them were born five children, four of whom are living - David, Seth, Sarah and Dora Young, of Pekin. Deceased was a highly respected lady, who accomplished much good on earth. She was a kind woman and leaves a multitude of sorrowing friends. Mrs. Young was a life long member of the Christian church. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Christian church, Pekin.
