Death Comes To Highly Esteemed Pekin Resident
 
Mrs. Elizabeth Schafnett Reuling, wife of John Reuling , Sr., a life long resident of this city and one of its highly esteemed citizens, died Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock at her home, 713 Hillyer street after an illness of only a few days.
 
She was a daughter of Henry and Mary Zuckweller Schafnett and was born in Pekin, January 3, 1860. Her marriage which was to John Reuling, sr. occurred in this city Oct 16, 1879. She is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. M.B. Lowman and Miss Florence Reuling and two sons, Carl and Vernon Reuling. Four sons and a daughter proceeded the mother in death.
 
She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. John Braum, Chicago, and Mrs. Louisa  ?, Pekin and one brother ? Taubet,  Pekin. The funeral will be held at the residence, 713 Hillyer street, Tuesday afternoon at ? o’clock. Rev A.A. Zimmerman will officiate and burial will be at Lakeside cemetery. Mrs. Reuling was a member of the Lutheran church. Friends are invited to call at the residence.
